Statement by KEPCO Bylong Australia
KEPCO is deeply disappointed by the NSW Independent Planning Commission (IPC) decision regarding the Bylong Coal Project. We wish to put on record our commitment to the Project and our local area. KEPCO is particularly disappointed for all those people who supported the project and had sort opportunities for jobs, particularly those in the Rylstone and Kandos areas where we know people are doing it tough.

Statement on Department of Planning and Environment Assessment Report
The NSW Department of Planning and Environment has released its Assessment Report for the Bylong Coal Project, which includes recommended conditions requiring open cut mining to remain off the KEPCO owned Tarwyn Park property. KEPCO provided supplementary information for a revised mine plan in accordance with a request made by the Department.

Community Investment Fund Round 3 for 2018 is now open
The third round of the Bylong Coal Project’s Community Investment Fund for 2018 opened on Friday 5 October. Community groups and organisations in Bylong, Rylstone, Kandos, Mudgee, Gulgong and the broader Mid-Western Regional Council area are encouraged to apply for funding or in-kind support through KEPCO’s Community Investment Fund. Applications for this round of funding close at midnight on 2 November 2018.

Bylong General Store – Extended Trading Hours
Opening hours for the Bylong General Store have been extended from 8am to 6pm due to a new lease agreement with new store operator Jess Robinson following KEPCO’s acquisition of the store from the previous owners in February 2017.
